WHAT’S IN A NAME?
The name, Balanced Canine, was drawn from my insatiable commitment to balancing leadership with freedom. Leadership,
not control. Freedom; not that wild, chaotic sort but freedom created by allowance and acceptance of individuality.
Many years of study and experience have gone into the development of my Balanced Canine techniques, philosophies &
programs. Numerous teachers have greatly influenced my perspective. But of all of my many teachers, the ones who have
played the most active role are my canine and equine family. Through direct and daily experience, these marvelous creatures
have changed my life. At times, I believe they have sustained my life. There is no greater gift than that of unconditional love. It
is my sincere goal in life to assist others in finding, nurturing and fully appreciating the love and connection they can create
and the many benefits they can reap from managing a healthy and compassionate human-canine relationship.
It’s all in the fine print!
Awareness, not smothering. Consistence, not chaos.

Balanced Canine Is Currently ON HOLD!
We're not gone forever - just a while. As many
of you know, Gwendy Joysen is an incredible
singer & songwriter. It is unusual to find
someone who is as good at two careers as she
is but the extent of her abilities in both are
equally astonishing. Recently, her musical work
has taken on a life of its own and she has had
to dedicate herself to only one of her 2 deep
passions. When you hear the new CD she is
currently recording, you will fully understand
the undeniable reason she must focus on her
music for now. But we will soon have staff &
trainers to carry on her work as she continues
to write and produce CD's & DVD's to assist you
in your relationships with your beloved dogs.
