Gwendy Joysen

2010 was a year full of creativity and changes! Another CD is hot off the presses! Yes, Gwendy Joysen fans, this year you'll see 2 new projects from Gwendy as an artist. The first is a collection of some of the most well crafted songs of her career, not to mention the wicked, stirring movement of her production work. The 2nd is a group of tunes by other writers including all those songs you love to hear Gwendy sing during services that blow the roof off the auditorium! Nature Boy, Use Me, Spirit of God, etc. The favs! We're still working on copyright licensing, so the full list will be up soon.

The 1st release for 2011 is "Moment of Clarity," a collection of all originals, many of which were forged right out of the flames of the challenges and stamina of the previous year's barrage. "When life throws you an obstacle course, lace up your Mizuno's and get to running!" Gwendy says as she tunes her guitar to open C. "But ain't it the songwriter's duty to say, at least I got a song out of it! Well, I got a whole record this time!"

"I love being back in Nashville to work with the amazing pool of musicians here!" Old friends and new ones offered their talents to "Moment of Clarity" to make it a stand apart project! Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band (who you'll remember from Gwendy's 1st release "...and miles to go,") plays sax, flute & clarinet on several songs, bringing his years of experience and powerful depth as an musical artist. His performances on "Deeper" as well as "Never Fade" add a unique dimension to the song. "I knew he'd bring it, but I wasn't expecting the angle and approach he took to the tracks. It's really impressive work," Gwendy gushes. John Deadrick (Patty Griffith) and Lance Hoppen (founding member of The Orleans and co-writer of all those songs we love like "Still the One" & "Dance with Me") also grace the record with their skill and passion!

Also in 2011: Gwendy is producing the next CD release by the FABULOUS vocalist, and Positive music songwriter Bukeka Shoals. Production starts in Febuary, release date TBA.

2009: Gwendy spent the majority of 2009 touring the country from Alabama to California and everywhere in between. Much of the rest of the year was spent dedicated to her studio and production. A whirlwind of a year to say the least, Gwendy found herself dealing with many of life's toughest blows in one spin of the globe: divorce, relocation, new relationships, old relationships rekindled and a complete spiritual overhaul. And as any good songwriter does, she has documented heartache and hopeful inspiration for us through some of the richest and most powerful songs of her career.

2008: We are excited to announce the official radio release of Gwendy's new single "Not Enough" which will aired on Saturday, September 15, 2007, on KKFI 90.1 in Kansas City. "Not Enough" will be featured on The Tenth Voice, which is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBT folks throughout the metro region. Listeners can tune in to KKFI's 100,000 watt signal at 1:00 PM (C.S.T.) on 90.1 or Streaming on the web at www.kkfi.org. This release also coincides with a partnership with Rainbow Legends, who will be using "Not Enough" as the theme song to support their work in the LGBT community by sharing stories of inspiration through their books. Find out more about Rainbow Legends and how you can participate at www.RainbowLegends.com.

2007: Currently, Gwendy is in the mastering stage of her new CD "Love Is Stronger" which is slotted for release July 1, 2008.
