Learning that occurs during key developmental periods of a pup’s life is referred to as imprinting. In truth, imprinting happens whether it
is intentionally guided or not. The surroundings, environmental changes and experiences that take place during specific days and
weeks from birth to 16 weeks help create and mold the character & behaviors of the puppy for a lifetime. If faithfully influenced with
specific stimuli, imprinting is an invaluable tool. The effects of these techniques are powerful and permanent. The properly imprinted
pup is secure, balanced & well adjusted.
At Balanced Canine, we imprint from birth to 16 weeks. We offer single sessions and multiple-session packages to breeders and
individuals. Breeders may also purchase session packages that carry over to the new home.

Early Learning
If you are adopting a pup that has not been intentionally imprinted, you can still imprint for many behaviors and use Early Learning
techniques to obtain significant results! Teach your puppy how to learn and communicate with you, introduce life enhancing situations
and provide a healthy social foundation.

If you are buying a pup and want him/her to be imprinted but the breeder is not doing so, we will imprint your pup for
you or instruct you or your breeder how to do it. Ask your breeder to take advantage of this service so the entire litter
and all the new owners will benefit from this program! We offer incentives for these situations because it is our belief
that imprinting is a major key in ending crowded shelters. Dogs with a better start in life are less likely to end up on
death row or out on the street!
